Retreat Advertising FAQs
My retreat happens several times a year. Can I include different dates under the same listing?Yes! If the program is the same, you are welcome to include as many dates as you’d like and your listing will be valid for a year. You can include specific dates under the dates section, or simply select “Year round”.
Is RetreatPlace for Yoga retreats only?No, RetreatPlace is designed to promote any type of mind & body wellness retreat/holiday. This includes art, cooking, detox, fitness, hiking, pilates, meditation, spiritual, etc.
How do I advertise my retreat event on RetreatPlace.com?Simply go to this PAGE
• Click on ‘Select’ in the table under one of the listing plans
• Fill out the online form with all the details
• Select or ignore any optional add-ons at the bottom of the page (click HERE for more information about add-ons)
• As soon as you click on Submit, all the information you entered will be saved in our database.
• You will then be taken to a Paypal check-out (no need for a Paypal account).
• You will receive a confirmation email and a login to view and edit your listing
What are the differences between the different listing plans?
I entered all the information in the online form but I was disconnected/I didn’t make the payment, is my information lost?No, if you hit the submit button on the online form, your information has been saved in our database. We will send you a direct link to make your payment so you don’t have to re-enter the information about your retreat.
Do I need a Paypal account to make my payment?No, you don’t. Under the “Pay with my PayPal account” section, there is a “Pay with a debit or credit card, or PayPal Credit”. Click on it and select your payment option.
How long will my retreat be on the site?Your listing is valid for a year or until the date of your retreat.
If you list in March 2018 and your retreat is July 2018, your listing will be valid until July 2018.
If you list in March 2018 and your retreat is offered year round, your listing will be valid until March 2019. You will then be prompted to renew.
How do I edit my listing?After you submit your listing, you will receive your account login and password. Go to your dashboard HERE and login. You will be able to view and edit your listing, add/remove photos, and move the pin on your map.
How do I make sure that my retreat page is seen?There are several ways to do that. You can promote your retreat page in your social media pages such as Facebook. You can also explore with our advertising tools, such as Facebook push promotions and our newsletter. Visit this PAGE for more information.
What is a Facebook push promotion?A regular post on Retreat Place Facebook page is seen by about 300 people. However, with a Facebook Push Promotion, Facebook actively puts a post we create about your retreat in front of our fans and their friends with a reach of 1,000-3,000 people.
The post is typically a photo album of the pictures you provide in your listing (as most people are more inspired by pictures than words on a first introduction). We add the title of the program, a short fun description and a web link to your retreat page.
The campaign lasts 4 days. You can order as many Facebook push promotions as you’d like and let us know when you’d like to run them. We can send you a report of the number of views the post gets.

When will the next monthly newsletter be sent?We typically send our newsletter at the beginning of each month and another one in the middle of the month. Contact us for exact dates.
How many subscribers receive the monthly newsletter?Our community of subscribers is rapidly growing. The best way to know this is to contact us so we can provide the latest numbers. These are people who have requested to receive updates on upcoming retreats.
