Our Women’s River and Yoga Retreat is a vacation that is simply different. It’s an investment in yourself. A chance to renew both body and soul.
Every year dozens of women—sisters, mothers and daughters, grandmothers, friends, and strangers—join Holiday River Expedition’s female guides on river trips tailored to Women. Spectacular river canyons offer exhilarating white water and secluded beaches where your facilitators will share the ancient art of Hatha yoga and the healing techniques of massage therapy. Camp under the stars and hike into red-rock canyons and pristine forests.
You’ll experience excitement and camaraderie as you run the rapids with women guides who understand the nature of the journey. Join us for a wilderness experience that will enrich your life long after you return home.
Morning and evening sessions are held on the beach where the group camps. The structure is fluid depending on the wants and needs of the group.
Daytime hiking is worked in, and swimming off the boats during the day offers a fun and cooling adventure!
Meals are served "al fresco" and lunch is served half way through the day along the river at a new beach, offering an option to hike and explore.
Prices include just about everything:
- All necessary river equipment including waterproof bags for your personal belongings.
- Full course meals from lunch the first day to lunch the last day.
- Transportation from the meeting point to trip, and return to original meeting point.
Prices do not include a sleeping kit.
- We offer two types of rental kits: rental with a two-man tent or rental without the tent.
- Other kits include a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, camp pillow, ground cloth, poncho and cup.
- All rates do not include state sales tax or applicable government special area and entrance fees.
- Please bring your own liquor, beer and wine.

On our river trips, our rafts are the key offering conveyance into otherwise unapproachable wilderness, so we make sure all of our equipment is in tip-top, worry-free shape.
On most trips, our guests rarely recognize how clean and well packed our rafts and vans are. That’s good! It’s when things break, malfunction or fall apart that people notice. Keeping our gear in tip-top shape avoids those inconvenient situations.Off the trail or river, it’s nice to know you’ve got a comfortable bed waiting for you. You’re welcome to bring your own camping gear or rent gear from us.
Our camping equipment is tried and true on river or trail. Inch-and-a-half thick air- and foam-filled sleeping mats, we call “Paco Pads”; clean and comfortable sleeping bags and trustworthy and rain-proof tents make the camping portion of your trip that much more enjoyable.
Clean and dry river bags are provided for each guest to put clothes and sleeping bag in. A smaller dry bag is provided as a day bag that is easy accessible on the river or trail throughout the day.
The retreat takes place in the Lower Salmon River, Grangeville, Idaho
Meet in Grangeville, Idaho on July 18, 2012 @ 8:00 AM at our headquarters for shuttle.
We will provide more information upon booking.
Early in life, Stacy recognized a deep spiritual connection to nature. Growing up recreating in the mountains of Utah, she quickly discovered an inner peace that would arise when she was outside in the natural world.
After receiving a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah in 2003, she understood that her spirituality was deeply rooted in both movement and nature. In 2007 Stacy completed her Yoga teaching certification with Dana Baptiste in Salt Lake City, Utah and began developing Earthflow Yoga.
Earthflow Yoga is a culmination of Stacy’s life experience. Her classes offer a unique blend of physicality, flow and introspection inspired by the systems and cycles of the Earth. In addition to Yoga, Stacy is trained in Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage.
She has traveled to India twice to complete the Level 1 and 2 Oneness Processes and to become a Oneness Trainer. Stacy conducts one on one personal sessions, that integrate Yoga, Hypnosis and the teachings of Oneness to accelerate personal growth and transformation.
She is currently pursuing a certification in Kids Yoga and is excited to empower younger generations with Yoga and the teachings of Oneness. Stacy resides in Alta, Utah where she continues to pursue her spirituality and draw wisdom from the natural world.
Rafting the Colorado River has been on my bucket list for 30 years. I could not have chosen a greater segment of the Colorado to experience than Cataract Canyon. The serenity that I found between those canyon walls cannot be matched. I have always felt that there is nothing more spiritual than untouched nature. The environmental care that Holiday instills made me feel as if I may have been the first to ever camp those beaches. My 5 days in the canyons will stay with me for a lifetime but I hope to visit many more Utah canyons in the future. -S. Hunt
The trip ROCKED!!!!!! GREAT FOOD. My third trip this year!!! I just love everything about the rafting trips! Fun, adventure, excitement, great food and the guides are awesome as well! -D. Bradley
Trip booked through Great Old Broads for Wilderness with Holiday. Karen at the office was always good to answer any questions, website was easy to use. The dry bags could actually hold a bit more than I thought. Super, super guides every one of them!!! We were very well cared for. Liked the hikes even went to the Doll House (at age 70). -M. McCord
